Session 1: Blogging

YEAH!!!! I'm in. That was frustrating, and yet rewarding. I am soooo very excited to use some of what I will learn this week. Thus my goals for the three days are:
1. Learn how to set up a blog to use with my students at Klein Oak so that we can discuss awesome books.
2. I would like to podcast about books and database and upcoming events and anouncements....
3. I need to keep up with the kids, maybe even stay a step ahead of some...

I know this "control" situation with Klein is frustrating. We get so excited about all this new stuff and get stymied when trying to use it. I think some of these tools will be especially good for reluctant students. It would be wonderful if everyone would share how they are using these tools.

Congratulations! You are a blogger. You are right. It is often very frustrating, but also very rewarding when you are successful.
I love your goals. I think it would be wonderful to see your students blog about books that you booktalked through podcasts. I hope that soon all librarians will promote the databases through podcasts.

We will probably never be ahead of our students, but we do need to at least keep up with them.
